Press Release: Seychelles fourth country to ratify the Nagoya Protocol on genetic resources

Montreal, 27 April 2012 – Seychelles, on 20 April 2012, became the fourth country to ratify the NagoyaProtocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising fromtheir Utilization to the Convention on Biological Diversity.The Nagoya Protocol will enter into force 90 days after the deposit of the 50th instrument of ratification. Inaddition to Seychelles, Rwanda, Gabon and Jordan have also ratified the Protocol.
